Vintage peg rack, 3-D painted blocks, embroidery, linen fabric. Inspired by the Elizabeth Bishop poem, “Manners”, her grandfather says, “Be sure to remember to always speak to everyone you meet.”
Vintage hand-embroidered tea-towels, (week days, chores and monograms) were a way to practise designs and girls learned stitches. In the end it became Folk Art. There isn’t a difference today between dish-towel or tea-towel. At one time linen towels were used to dry delicate tea-sets. - Year
