Unframed. Sailboats in the sky, houses under the sea, en route to Key West. On that hot day I was attracted to the simplicity of the architecture, the pearlescent glow of the pastel colours, the shimmer of the shallow-pitched roofs.
A Pentimento painting, where my work has a faint area of an unfinished painting, painted over to create a new one. The word pentimento is derived from the Italian 'pentirsi', which means to repent or change your mind.
