Description

My son, home from school with a cold. But in our house, sick days mean I can use you as a model --- unless it's the stomach flu. I've been looking at artist Avigdor Arikha a lot lately and admire the odd point of view in his figurative pieces. This piece is a tip of the cap to Arikha's "Repose".

As in all my work, I paint quickly from life in an attempt to share familiar items and fleeting moments. Something about this sight made me smile and I hope it does for you, too.
