Description

My Swimmer series explores a time of innocence. Clean clear water amplifies the purity of that time. Reflected and refracted light both highlight and obscure the subjects wrapping them in a protective layer under the water. I manipulate photos of my subjects then reconfigure the images manually to create analog collage on a cradled birch surface. I finish by hand with acrylic paint, modelling paste and layers of varnish. All work is ready to hang.
