There is no other event like the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair – with a long and proud history, a supportive community of artists and collectors; a generously supported awards program, and a growing national and international following.
There is, undoubtedly, no better place for artists to exhibit and offer their work to the public in Toronto.
As we enter our 53rd year, the staff and Board of Directors of the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair are working hard to ensure that we continue to mount an exciting, enjoyable, and successful show for artists and public, alike.
We are extremely pleased to welcome a new Executive Director, Mark Teeple, who comes with past experience working with visual arts organizations, large-scale event planning, sponsorship and fundraising, and organizational membership. Greg Holman is back for another season as the Director of Events, with a reputation for excellent artist and show management.
We have experienced a lot of changes in the past few years and are excited to be on the cusp of bigger and better things – we’re undertaking strategic planning for the future, developing a new website, and focusing marketing and communications activities on developing a new and highly engaged audience.
With the forthcoming completion of construction of Nathan Philips Square, the show is being redesigned to ensure an improved artist and public experience – removing uncovered areas of the show, improving flow and spacing. While we are saddened that we are permanently reducing the number of artists on the square, these changes will allow increased resources from us, and attention (and spending!) from the public to be given to each artist
Couple this with the return of the successful Best Of Exhibition in January 2014 at the First Canadian Place Gallery, a growing awards program, and the Art Now contemporary installation and performance program, the 2014 Toronto Outdoor Art Fair is poised to be a landmark year in our history.
And we’re not done yet. Looking forward to 2015 and beyond, we are developing new partnerships, new engagement programs, and aggressively pursuing sponsorships.
We look forward to welcoming you on July 4-6, 2014.
Sincerely,
Staff & Board of Directors
