We here at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair want to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to everyone who helped make this year an unprecedented one. Firstly, without our volunteers putting on this enormous exhibition would have been an impossible task. To all those who gave their time freely to help see this weekend succeed we are truly grateful, you were the backbone of the entire operation!
Secondly, the patrons! To the great people of Toronto and all those who came through Nathan Phillips Square from all over the world, thank you for spending time with us and supporting our cherished art community. Without an audience an artist is muted, without you our event is rendered useless, you have no idea how integral your role is in sustaining the great art of this proud country.
Finally, the artists. We admire you in so many more ways than we can begin to describe. We are taken aback by your immense talent and even more so, your courage to commit to art even when most say it is an impossible way to support yourself. To have such an assortment of uniquely dedicated people all in one place is a very humbling experience and the energy this weekend was like chicken soup for our cities collective soul. Thank you for all that you do to enrich the lives of those around you and to speak for those who can not or do not know how.
As all of you may have heard we will be moving on from Nathan Phillips Square next summer. As sad as it is we are thrilled about the opportunity to use this as a spring board onto many more years of excellence and growth. With the continued support of our incredible donors and sponsors we are sure this will an exciting moment to build upon the legacy this exhibition has cultivated over the years. To think of the humble beginnings spearheaded by Mr and Mrs. Koffler many years ago and where we are now is truly something special.
Please stay tuned over the next few months as we will keep everyone posted about the new location as soon as it is official. Thank you to everyone who has made the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair a very humbled organization, we are extremely proud of this past weekend and are itching to get started on next years preparations.
Until next time!
