TOAF Artists are ready!
Dear Friend of TOAF,
Tomorrow is the day. We are here at Nathan Phillips Square, laying the groundwork, mapping the square, setting up the stage, and preparing for the artists to load in for the final build. Together with the artists, we are building this universe of ours – a small city within the square – animating every nook with creativity and art. We are preparing to host you, our dear patrons and art lovers. And you are in for so many treats.
We are particularly excited about staging the mischievous and sensitive dancework—Three Turtles in the Square—by Fila 1 Productions with choreography by Lina Cruz and performed by an exquisite cast of local and Montréaler dancers.
Thanks to our friends at Small World Music, you’ll be treated to the funky brass sounds of The Rider Raiders, the Brazilian-inspired alternative rock of JER, and the vibrant Afro-Brazilian rhythms of Coletivo Semente. Come prepared to groove, sway, and mingle.
Remember that TOAF Online opens at 12:00 AM (tonight). If you have had an eye on a particular piece, you must seize the moment, especially from Exclusively Online artists. This contemplative Curated Collection, Averted Air, by creative producer Michael Nyarkoh, can be a great start to your art discovery journey.
See you tomorrow!

P.S. A few tips from Fair veterans: When getting ready for the Fair, remember to bring comfortable shoes since you’ll be doing a lot of walking. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. A water bottle is also a good idea to stay hydrated throughout the day of art-looking…
