Canada’s leading contemporary outdoor and online art fair

July 12 – 14, 2024.

Newsworthy: Final day of TOAF62

The energy in the air here at Nathan Phillips Square is palpable. There is so much to see, to do and to take in. This wrap-up in fair share of eye candy from our favourite newsletter by CBC Arts affirms.

We are thrilled to hear the moving stories of Darrell Chocolate and Oleksandra Stepanenko (Sasha Q), two recipients of our inaugural Travel Bursary program, are shared with the world. Each artist has a unique story to tell and inspire you. Join them today for one last chance to connect with them.

The programming is equally spectacular. Watching a sea of art lovers browsing, buying art, dancing and engaging with all our offerings is fantastic.

Please don’t let us wait a year before we see you next!

PS. We want to know what you think about TOAF62. Please fill out our Visitors’ Survey, and you can win a $250 digital gift card for TOAF.ca

Las Empanadas Ilegales

12:00 PM | Stage
Presented by Small World Music

Empanadas Ilegales are Vancouver-based, and Creepy Mambo is their second full-length collection of psych-infused cumbia – or chicha, as it is also known – with some salsa and latin jazz mixed in for good measure. The six members trace their roots all across the Latin world – from Spain, Argentina and Brazil to Colombia, Ecuador and of course Peru, once the epicentre of the blistering chicha sound.

Kazdoura

3:00 PM | Stage
Presented by Small World Music

Kazdoura is a Toronto-based band serving Arabic fusion with a modern twist. Equal parts nostalgia and reinvention, their style is a cross-cultural blend of Eastern and Western music that blends old-world Arabic classics with funk, pop, and disco.

Leap (of faith)

1:00 PM | Upper Walkway, Zone D

Leap (of faith) is the final installment of a trilogy of danceworks by Choreographer Jenn Goodwin, examining collectivity and poetic physicality, solidarity and the feminization of space, and resiliency in the face of day-to-day challenges.
