Dear Friend of TOAF,
We can't believe we've reached the end of TOAF59! Our artists have sold nearly 500 artworks in the past 10 days, and more are going to new homes as we speak. The TOAF team and I could not be more proud.
We are incredibly happy to have been able to make this happen for our artists as well as engage our community and expand our reach beyond the physical perimeter of Nathan Phillips Square. Replays of our virtual programming of Art Talks, Artist Studio Tours, and Live Chats are all available online, and there are still many beautiful works available on our website.
Usually on the closing day of the Fair, our team goes around to spend time with our artists, catch up in person, and buy art ourselves. We dearly miss this today! We also make a point of tasting the delicious offerings of our amazing food vendors who keep our visitors hydrated and well-nourished. This year, Propeller Coffee and Tropic Love lent their support to our virtual fair through our Gifts of Heart campaign. We are grateful, and we hope you keep supporting our artists and local businesses.
It is bitter sweet to say goodbye digitally and not be able to hug, shake hands, exchange a big smile, or even just wave at each other in real life.
