Tanyss Horsley

Tanyss Horsley was born in Toronto, Canada. After completing her undergraduate degree in Canada and France she studied at the Florence Academy in Italy. Steeped in traditional training, continuity in practice and inspiration in the present, she works on personal pieces as well as commissions. While her main focus is in portraiture, she enjoys still life paintings and has organized plein air workshops in France, Italy, Scotland, Spain, New York and locally in Toronto. Tanyss is a co-founder of and instructor at the Academy of Art Canada. She works out of her studio in Toronto's west end, and her work is held in private collections.
