The series ‘Torn, Crushed, Concentrated’ refers to the deconstruction and construction involved in my creative process. In my mixed media paintings, I’m pulling together torn fragments of painted papers and concentrating them into shapes that hint at natural forms like stones, clouds, flowers, or the curved shapes of the body. The results are intense, highly textured concentrations of colour, which pulsate with vibrant energy.
