Natalie Drajewicz

City
Toronto

Natalie Draz is an artist documenting her neighbourhoods with bold, sculptural artwork created from her screenprints, copperplate etchings, watercolours and drawings. Drawn to clean inked lines, architectural details and the gorgeous palette of ink and watercolour, her drawings transform into three dimensional papercuts that pop off the page! Her art unfolds, pops up, fans open and reveals her metropolitan narratives. Natalie is a printmaker and papercut artist who combines print media, urban sketches, and handcut paper techniques to create multi-layered pieces that are as alive and dynamic as the city that inspires her.
Natalie is a member of Toronto's Open Studio, and has a BA Hons from the University of Toronto and an MFA from Concordia University, where she specialized in printmaking and fantastical bookworks. Her artwork is collected internationally by private collectors and institutes including the University of Toronto, the Toronto Reference Library, the Banff Art Center, the Library of Congress, MIT, Harvard University, and the Frans Masereel Centrum.
