Mishel Schwartz
Mishel Schwartz
As a young girl, Toronto-based artist Mishel Schwartz used to hide on the stairs that led to her artist-parents’ studio and watch them paint live models. This innocent voyeurism was the catalyst for a lifelong passion for the arts.
"The feeling I had in those moments was palpable and made all my senses react, I knew even then that this would be my future."
"Painting allows me to feel intrinsically connected to the natural world. I look at the multi-faceted wonders around me and feel a profound pull to connect and create. I am inspired by the soft hum and fluttering movement of everything around me and seek to transform this natural beauty in my art. It's a wonderful way to blur the boundaries between what's real and what's imagined."
