(FAUXBEAR, Michael Faubert) is a Toronto-based visual artist. His work contrasts playfully absurd characters with surreal environments to convey abstract concepts, extreme emotional states, and half-remembered nightmares. Currently inspired by street art, graffiti, comics and animation, he’s focused on building a series of ink and watercolour illustrations and single-page abstract comics.
