Keyvan Fehri


Keyvan Fehri, award-winning ceramist, born in 1971 in Tehran, Iran, started professional work in ceramic arts in 1989 and specialized in the reproduction of Iranian museum ceramic pieces. Now, master ceramicist and mentor, Fehri uses a variety of historic firing methods developed at Marlic Mountain in Gilan, Iran, 2nd millennium B.C., the firing method of pottery and inscribed vessels from Neyshabur, Iran (9th and 10th centuries A.D.), firing of pre-Islamic grey pottery, firing and enameling technique of double-shelled Iranian vessels, Gorgan and Kashan, Iran (13th century A.D.) and the firing method of pottery, Siyalk Mountain, Kashan, Iran (9th-16th centuries, A.D.). He also specializes in the production and revival of Iranian lusterware. Keyvan has held numerous solo and group exhibitions all around the world including, Iran, Croatia, Mexico, Japan, Australia, France, UK and Canada since 1995.
