Kelly Kan is, very literally, born to be in the jewellery business. A proud Hong Konger , she is a third generation pearler and second generation jewellery designer. Kelly is a George Brown College Gemmology Graduate, a Gemmologist (FCGmA) certified with The Canadian Gemmological Association and an Accredited Jewelery Professional (AJP) with the Gemological Institute of America, with a specialization in Pearls.

Oz + Ella was founded in 2017 with the original intention of exploring what is possible in the realm of silicone- based designs. As our reputation grew as a company that produces pieces that are both fashion forward and infinitely wearable, we expanded our line to include other alternative jewellery materials like cotton and fabric. By combining these materials with pearls and other minerals, we are truly creating works of art that are visually beautiful and wonderfully tactile.

Our inspiration evolves from collection to collection. Our current selection ( shown at the the Gardiner Museum) is an homage to our roots in the jewellery business - Pearls and Knots.
