Kati Bujna
Memory has its own landscape, and Kati Bujna — a contemporary Canadian artist — paints it. Inspired by the colour memory of place, her large-scale abstract paintings navigate the terrain between what is seen and what is remembered through layered colour, movement, and expressive mark-making.
Drawing from water reflections, florals, forests, and travel experiences, her work offers immediate visual impact that deepens the longer you look.
Using primary colour harmonies, non-traditional tools, and signature techniques, Kati builds layered compositions through deconstructed, nature-inspired motifs. Working with acrylics, pastel, charcoal, and graphite, her paintings unfold as dynamic fields of movement, light, and atmosphere—inviting viewers to sense nature without being directed by it.
Kati also creates custom large-scale works for modern interiors, designing paintings that respond to architecture, scale, and client’s personal colour stories. Her work is held in private and public collections internationally.
