Born in Tehran, Iran Hamideh Abol immigrated to Canada in 2006. She finished a Fine Arts certificate from Emily Carr University of art and design in 2010 and started her artistic journey by creating felted pieces. She moved to Italy in 2013 to immerse herself in art & design. She then moved to France to gain first-hand experience in haute couture fashion houses and learn the intricate art of tailoring and textile design. She freelanced for many famous fashion houses in Paris such as Givenchy.
Hamideh moved back to Canada in 2017 with the goal of incorporating European Art and Knowledge into her own artwork in a contemporary way and with a focus on sustainability. After a decade of learning and experimenting, she is debuting her art career by making collage pieces with recycled textile, fashion magazines, and found materials.
