Born on an Island, I have always felt a deep connection to nature.

Attracted to the arts from an early age, I received my initial training in drawing and painting in the academic tradition. After my studies at the Conservatory Of Dramatic Arts, while working in theater as a stage designer, I traveled around the world and discovered many landscapes that touched my soul and left inspiring memories. This led me to study painting at the New Orleans Academy Of Fine Arts, and during the time I have been living in southern Louisiana, my passion for plein air painting was born. Twenty years later, my passion keeps growing as I constantly define my vision of the Canadian landscapes, especially the sceneries of my Laurentian homeland, where I meet with the roots of my identity.

To create my paintings, I like to immerse myself deep into the scenes, en plein air, to truly capture lights and colors with their evocative values that convey a feeling of that particular place and moment. The energy I feel by painting surrounded by natural space, is giving me the feeling of being on a spiritual dialogue with the universe. I hope my work shows that connection with the nature we live in.
