Carole Morin
Professional painter since 2006; I exhibit regularly in Canada and in Spain. I have an MA in Child Psychology, a training in creativity and dance improvisation in NYC and studies in FA at UQAM. Stays in Barcelona led me to use bright colors reflecting the intensity of the light of the area. Inspired by Gaudi and Miro, my work is generally abstract, capturing influences through textures, colors, movement and depth. Recently imaginary landscapes are found in acrylic large-format paintings.
The latest series is called Blue, it explores the possibilities of that color. Blue for the sky of Barcelona, the Mediterranean sea, and the subconscious. A few charcoal strokes with spontaneous gestures give birth to the painting.
My studio is in Montreal (Qc), My artwork is included in public, corporate as well as private collections in Canada, the US and Spain. My work can be seen at the Denison Gallery (Toronto).
