Boyd's work is focused on a sense of being, the soul of people, using the backdrop of landscape as inspiration. Boyd evokes basic human emotions, moods and feelings through his abstract landscapes using light and color through oil paint. He keeps emotions and feelings about places and his own experiences or inner reactions, these come through in the work he does. Meditative or highly energized, using hands, rags and brushes and sometimes knives Boyd engages the viewer in his visions. Reactions are often emotions reflected back. Boyd's work is held in private and corporate collections in Canada, United Kingdom and United States.
