Painting has long been a constant in my life, and I have relished the multidimensional evolution of our relationship. I have developed what started as an academic pursuit into an unique conversation with my audience about impressions of beauty and dignity of ordinary individuals and scenes in everyday life.
People who go about their routine with an inherent nobility inspire me to rewrite their stories in art. Additionally, still life and nature allow me to explore shade, depth and facets of my surroundings. I find continued inspiration in eclectic themes that reflect the multitude of ideas, expressions and people that cross my path.
I am an award winning pastel artist in both Canada and the USA. I have achieved my Master Pastelist status in Canada in 2020, Chicago Pastel Painters, Signature status in 2021 and the Master Circle status with the International Association of Pastel Societies in 2022
