Alison Davis
Alison Davis is an artist and animator based in Treaty One Territory, Winnipeg.
Her drawings are playfully awkward. Using simple lines, they depict humanoid characters who enact scenes of joyous connections, cautious encounters, intentional misinterpretations, and self-absorbed dismissals. As a somewhat socially awkward person, she uses her drawings to explore how people forge meaningful connections and navigate emotionally fraught situations.
With a BFA in Film Animation from Concordia University, Davis has also produced a number of short hand drawn or painted animated films that have played at festivals and venues around the world.
