Symbols of Safeguarding

Curated by Marie-Eve G. Castonguay

Historically, jewellery stands someplace close to the realm of the mystique, with amulets, talismans and charms meant to commemorate lost ones, keep one safe, or hold encrypted symbols. While some of the wearable artworks chosen for this collection are reminiscent of ancient adornment forms, others seem to hold secret meanings through the use of symbolism and sacred geometry.
