Program Schedule

The 63rd Toronto Outdoor Art Fair is a multi-faceted and multi-layered event. More than 165,000 visitors join us each year at  Nathan Phillips Square. Visit us this year July 12 to 14 for a great weekend of art collecting and artist discovery, installations, guided tours, soulful kids programs, live painting, and site-specific dance.

Friday, July 12th

Live Painting with Phade

Art Tour: Flânerie with Dyana Ouvrard

In a world that moves too fast, slowing down and rediscovering a natural space and time with artists is the most natural of movements: putting one foot in front of the other. Join Dyana for a slow, light and deep walk for all those with an itch for exploration and discussion.

Mari Palhares is a Percussionist who moved to Toronto from Sao Paulo, Brazil at the age of 19. Her interest in percussion led her to Maracatu (Afro-Brazilian percussion) at the age of 17. In 2007, already living in Toronto, she joined Maracatu Baque de Bamba, founded by Aline Morales (lead singer/director of the drumming troupe). Mari has since become the co-leader, a teacher and the producer of Baque de Bamba, as well as a well-known artist within and beyond the Brazilian community in Toronto.

A home for public art explorations

This year’s Art Nest will feature works by 5 artists who are responding to the structure, architecture and meaning of Nathan Phillips Square with interactive and engaging public art works. 

36 Questions That Lead to Loving Toronto Green Spaces

Presented by Museum Toronto

Do you see nature as an escape from city life, an integral part of leisure, or an economic booster? As a Torontonian, do you feel in touch with nature, or are you left wanting something else?

Explore your connection to Toronto’s parks, green spaces, and natural environment through a series of participatory activities in this pop-up installation. 36 Questions That Lead to Loving Toronto Green Spaces invites visitors to explore the many ways Torontonians appreciate and find connection with green spaces in the city — highlighting the interplay of urban living with nature, parks, and wildlife.

Power Kids

Presented by The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery

Join this year’s Power Kids workshop for a reflective exercise in self-expression where participants will create tactile, abstract self-portrait collages. This process is inspired by the Power Plant’s exhibition of June Clark’s reflective work. 

Budding Art Buyers

Presented by Art Dealers Association of Canada

No adults allowed! We are calling art lovers and budding collectors aged 14 and younger to experience the wonder of discovering and collecting a precious work of art. Purchase original artworks by our participating artists for $10, $15, or $20 (cash only).
