Description

HMCS SADDLED was
a sister ship to HMCS PURRPLE but to many
her design resembled that of a bridled horse because of the gang cables used to hang flags during flotilla
parades. The nickname Saddled stuck and she was formally renamed by King C on a trip to Halifax Canada after a fish and chips luncheon.
