1995 Toronto Streetcar

Artist
Dinesh Subramanian
Description
Looking at the photo at Dufferin Station and celebration of 100 years of TTC inspired me to do this watercolor painting.
In 1995, near Nathan Philip Square in Toronto, people were lining up to board the streetcar, which was a popular mode of transportation. The streetcar system had been a fixture in Toronto since the late 19th century and was an iconic symbol of the city. The streetcars were often crowded, but they provided a convenient and affordable way for Torontonians to get around the city
