Divide
- Artist
- Alex Thompson
- Description
-
Divide examines the gulf between the infrastructural residues of citybuilding across centuries, borrowing from the Arsenale in Venice and a temporary utility structure in downtown Edmonton. The structures form a bridge across an empty void, a thread connecting human interventions in the landscape, alluding to an hourglass and dating and anticipating the longevity of these cities.
Hand-printed from a copper plate on Hahnemuhle Copperplate rag paper using oil-based ink.
