Parmeet Arora Bori, a Toronto-based, Indian-born artist and illustrator, boasts over 18 years of experience in Surface Pattern Design, serving clients in both the UK and Canada. From a young age, her family nurtured her passion for painting, encouraging her creativity on any canvas she chose.

Parmeet's artistic journey is deeply intertwined with her personal experiences, from reliving cherished childhood memories to finding solace after the loss of her mother to cancer and embracing motherhood herself. Through her oil paintings, Parmeet transforms mundane household items into symbols of comfort, sharing memories intertwined with grief while uplifting spirits and celebrating the cultures and travels she treasures dearly.

While growing up, Parmeet was a fussy eater, but now kitchen items provide her with familiarity and comfort, becoming recurring muses in her oil paintings. Embracing her new home in Canada, Parmeet remains deeply rooted in her cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from her upbringing and the diverse landscapes of her life. With each brushstroke, she seeks to evoke emotion, spark nostalgia, and celebrate the vibrant tapestry of human experience.

Having recently exhibited at Arts Etobicoke and Northern Contemporary Gallery in 2023, Parmeet is excited to showcase her work at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair for first time on 12-14 July at Booth 293 Zone E. Beyond her professional achievements, Parmeet finds joy in sharing her creative process with others through painting and drawing workshops and regularly holds private workshops with the Toronto Public Library.
