Ngendo Kinyanjui
Ngendo is a Canadian-Kenyan visual artist whose work spans the spectrum from the surreal to the familiar, incorporating intuitive imagery dreams and landscapes.
Her work highlights notions of connectivity; ours to the natural world, across cultures and geographic spaces, and through our own interpersonal relationships.
She sees culture as a shifting (social) landscape that calls for openness and curiosity. In her work, the natural world emerges as kindred to humans, mirroring the kinship shared among diverse cultures.
