Técia Pépin
Técia Pépin is a photographer from Montréal, Québec.
For the past 10 years, she has been visiting different cities around the world (Paris, Seville, Rabat, New York, among others) to photograph their architectural, monumental and poetic charms.
Through her photographs, she aims to gently take people along on her journeys. One of her greatest desires is to open up the world of architecture and photography to everyone. Art and beauty should never be reserved for the elite!
While working as a journalist for various media outlets 12 years ago, this self-taught photographer provided her first images to accompany her articles. It was a turning point. She had discovered photography, a medium through which she could communicate as well as she did through words.
Her photographs are minimally retouched to preserve their authenticity. She is particularly fond of black- and-white images, which convey a raw, timeless esthetic.
She has an appreciation for specialty paper, and prints her photographs on fine art paper, a high-quality paper made from natural, acid-free fibres.
