Emily Bickell
Emily Bickell grew up in Whitby, on the shore of Lake Ontario, Canada. In 1998 she received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts with a studio specialization in painting and printmaking from the University of Waterloo.
A life-long fascination with colour and nature informs Emily's work. Her oil paintings of water float between abstraction and realism. Paintings from the garden and birds series explore the contrasts and similarities between flora and fauna. Adventures in the Canadian wilderness provide endless inspiration.
After a decade in Calgary, Alberta, Emily has recently moved back to Ontario and is thrilled to return to the lake of her youth. Find Emily’s work at galleries in Ottawa, Toronto and Niagara-on-the-Lake, in Ontario; in Lexington, MA, USA, and in private and corporate collections across North America and Europe.
