HMCS JORU

THE JORU

The JORU was named after an invasive spider species. Its’ groundbreaking design featured a detachable escape pod shaped like a spider, capable of floating away if the submarine came under attack. Unfortunately, during a routine cleaning, a crew member with arachnophobia accidentally hit the detach button while trying to swat a spider inside the escape pod. As a result, he was the sole survivor of the incident.
