Grandma Walker's Chocolate Chiffon Cake is the favourite birthday cake in my family; a tall angel food-like cake cut in three layers: one layer topped with cherry pie filling, the next I like to top with chocolate pudding, and then the whole cake is frosted with whipped cream. (Add a dash of almond extract to the whipped cream for extra yummy!) I love that baking and consuming it reminds me of my Grandma and of all the events we've celebrated with this recipe.
