Description

When setting up a still life painting, I really enjoy moving the items around and seeing how they interact together -- like the aloe arm reaching out to touch the spout of the tea pot or the wick of the candle stick cropped right at the edge of the canvas. I often paint and then repaint sections to move items around in a more pleasing layout, which means there were multiple versions of this piece before it was completed (ie the green bowl replaced a match box in the end)
