My painting of "Life in Toronto" features a hectic yet everyday scene in downtown Toronto at Yonge-Dundas Square, now known as Sankofa Square. I worked from a photo that I took while touring the city on a double decker bus. I was amazed by the buzz of activity as almost everyone appeared to be rushing to get somewhere. It was a chaotic scene, but it certainly represented life in Toronto from a small town resident's perspective.
