Description

An accidental photo of red-carpeted stairs became the base for this image. Something about the way the light and shadows played across the frame held my attention. I reworked it into a visual reflection of Churchill’s quote: “Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.” The layered steps echo the persistence of forward motion—through doubt, missteps, or reinvention. Each frame draws the viewer inward, suggesting descent, progress, frustration, and hope.
