Description

Creating spore prints is an identification tool in mycology where a mushroom is placed cap down on paper under a dome for a few hours. The humidity triggers the mushroom to release its spores allowing you to see the color, shape and texture of the spores unique to that mushroom.

As an artist, I am interested in exploring this tool as a form of printmaking and am excited to create TOAF-exclusive spore print collages at booth 13.
