Based off the Käthe Kollwitz woodcut series, "Kreig," Die Witwe I is a reimagining of Kollowtiz's work in photo. Working with bodypaint and several models, Kollowtiz's series was recreated, and then digitally printed on Gampi, which was then chine colléd onto rag paper, taking the digital reimagining of the print back to its mother medium.
