Tanya Markvart

Inspired by the ancient rocky landscape of the North Bruce Peninsula, Markvart's debut series, The Spring Shoreline, explores the link between internal (spiritual, psychological, emotional) and external (physical) environments to illuminate how one shapes our understanding of the other. Her pieces are completed with acrylic ink on birch wood panel, intentionally incorporating the natural grain.​ The Spring Shoreline paintings have been shown in galleries across Ontario as well as internationally via the Society of Canadian Artists 2025 Juried Online International Exhibit and the Prague-based Women United Art Movement.
