Sujesh ChittyV
Born in 1980 in Chennai, India, Sujesh Chitty uses a contemporary lens to explore the ancient artworks and culture he has experienced since childhood. Through the vibrant and expressive nature of his work, he brings his subjects to life, effortlessly expressing the balance between nature and humanity.
Artist Statement: In a way, I believe we are all walking together, constantly evolving , experiencing change and seeking the unknown. This being my subject I try capturing people in moments of transient. Working with different mediums and their applications play a big part during the process of painting. This practice of building and deconstructing paint layers over and over, relates to the same notion of impermanence that we undergo when seeking the unknown I think, which I'm very interested in capturing.
