Sherif Hosni
Sherif is a Canadian-Egyptian street and travel photographer who participated at different exhibitions in Egypt like El-Sawy Culture Wheel exhibition 2013 and 2014, Cairo Photo Marathon 2013, Roznama exhibition at Medrar 2014, 2016 and 2023, Egypt's Youth Salon 2015. He won at National Geographic’s magazine for youth Egypt’s edition 2012 and 2013, Photobia Frozen in Time contest 2014 and Berggruen Studio Photo and Art Competition Futurism category 2016. He got published and featured by 1x.com, flickr.com, VSCO and Adobe Stock.
Sherif is passionate about roaming the streets and new places to document people’s life. He utilizes silhouettes and shadows in black and white photography to tell more stories about a person. The silhouettes of people add mysterious and dramatic feeling especially when they are combined with nature scenes like clouds or trees. Shadows can also tell more about the other side of a person.
