Sandra Manzi is an artist from Toronto, currently residing in Hamilton. She is a graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCADU) where she received her diploma in Fine Arts/Experimental Arts, and also received a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Guelph. Her process involves manipulating the various states of transparency in the overlay of different images. Referencing subject matter taken from the cannon of art history - such as portraiture, florals, and the figure - she's attempting to re-examine these genres through modern digital tools. Her paintings and photographs are dense with layered imagery - forcing the viewer to have to look long and ponder the image, hence connecting it with their own life.
