Now based in Toronto, I was born and grew up in Montreal, where I took my first art course at the Feminist Art Institute and became inspired by artists as diverse as Chagall and Judy Chicago.

Although I went on to take a degree in literature and a post -grad certificate in creative writing, I’ve continued to explore and develop my artistic skills through courses and practice in drawing, painting, printmaking and, most recently, paper-making.

This series of mixed media collages celebrates life in all its brokenness and beauty.

Strongly influenced by the natural world, I explore themes of decay and regeneration and the powerful connection between the cycles of nature and the female experience. My process involves recycling discarded paintings and combining them with torn papers and layers of paint, often adding and subtracting elements over time.

Life is a fragile construction, yet filled with beauty and possibility. I want my work to capture this paradox.

I’ve participated in numerous juried shows - this is my 8th TOAF! - and my work is in private collections in Canada and the United States.

If you have questions or would like to see more of my work, please connect with me via email or Instagram, or visit me at Booth E517, July 10-12th.
