Capturing light to render its effects is one reason I love to paint. In the "Art, a matter of process" 2023 exhibition I focused on beauty and the restorative qualities of peonies; the colour pink provided a unifying visual thread. I create original oil paintings in a modern impressionist style. Influences include Latour, Monet, Waterhouse, focus is primarily on the figure and florals. Interpretations include abstractions of the figure and mannequins; florals depict tulips, roses, irises and lilies often rooted in their earthy environment. I completed a BFA degree from Concordia University in 1998 and am a professional membership of RAAV. My artwork has been exhibited more than 2 decades, is published and collected internationally.
