Peer Christensen
Peer Christensen has maintained an active studio practice for over 30 years, working in the medium of oil paint. The classical technique of building up succesive opaque and transparent paint layers yields the luminosity that has come to define Christensen's style. The artist applies this technique effectively to his subject matters that range from urban and industrial landscapes to floral studies and interior observations.
"I am inspired by presenting often unseen or un-noticed subjects, challenging the viewer to confront them as aesthetic landscapes."
Christensen manages a busy exhibition schedule, which has included the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair since 1994.
