Natasha Shelokova
Natasha Shelokova is Toronto based full time artist. Graduated architect and interior designer, she has made a career as an interior designer. 12 years ago, she has been fortunate enough to pursue art as a career and become a full-time artist. Having Ukrainian background, she is a current member of Association of Ukrainian artists of Canada. Over last years, her art has undergone significant changes and has moved to a new level. Her artistic voice reveals new facets of her talent.
‘By working in abstract realism, my artworks invite the viewer to explore the multifocality of the composition, that achieved by changing the scale of scenes, lighting, and the interweaving of geometric shapes and organic wildness. Because paintings have mystical components, I take people on a journey of a magical moment. My process combines structured forms and organic elements using collage, modelling paste, spray paint, acrylics. Finished with oils, my paintings create layered energetic look.’
