Since childhood, I've tried to express / interpret the world around me thru the beauty in the ordinary. exploring my admiration / commitment to nature thru my stylized water patterns i call “infinity rings” created along the edges of our northern wetland ponds & streams they offer up a visual looseness paralleling that of the image concept of “expanding galaxies’ which, in the paintings expand visually to take you to the edge of the canvas / out into your thoughts. a self taught independent artist exhibiting professionally for over 30 years in Canada / USA as an elected member of art society's CSPWC (former board member) SCA, OSA, CFS. Work is in collections worldwide. As well as pushing the limits / direction of watercolors on paper I have developed a way of painting watercolors on gessoed panels placing a strong emphasis on colour, light / reflection such that my paintings express a directness immediacy in their focus on abstract beauty of water patterns of our northern lakes
