Lydia Panart
Timothy Warrington, International Confederation of Art Critiques, London, UK, wrote: “Philosophically speaking, this Canadian artist emphasizes the meditative, intellectual and meaningful result of her compositions, focusing on a conceptual implication, albeit exquisitely emotional…”
Originally from Buenos Aires, Lydia graduated as an architect in 1991. Following her architectural practice, she developed her artistic career under the mentorship of Kenneth Kemble who brought the Informalism to the Argentinean art scene.
Lydia is known for her thought-provoking abstract artworks created primarily with acrylics, which have been exhibited nationally and internationally including invitations to Biennales and Art Symposia.
Painting is her sacred language. In this series Mirage, Lydia questions what is hidden in ethereal visions, her own projections. Each piece taps into the thin line between reality and fantasy, dream and desire, illusion and discernment.
