I’m Lovia Maleki, an Iranian-Canadian visual artist and illustrator, born in Tehran and based in Toronto. With a background in Graphic Design and painting, I work across both traditional and digital mediums to explore the depths of emotion and imagination.

My work reflects internal landscapes—memories, dreams, and fleeting moments of daily life—expressed through abstraction and surrealism. I examine the balance between fragility and resilience, a theme deeply rooted in my experiences as a woman. The female form often appears, not just as a subject but as a symbol of life and creation, beauty and love—embodying strength, vulnerability, and transformation. Through color, texture, distortion, and symbolism, I seek to communicate emotions beyond the limits of language.

Photography and music shape my creative process, while nature—swans, insects, animals, and aquatic life—serves as a visual language for growth and renewal. My goal is not to replicate reality but to invite the viewer into an emotional dialogue, a space where they can find reflections of their own experiences within the work.

To me, art is more than an image; it is an evolving exchange between the artist and the observer, where meaning is continuously rediscovered.

Photography and music serve as my guides, shaping the rhythm of each piece. Nature, especially swans, insects, and organic textures, becomes a language through which I express transformation, vulnerability, and strength. My goal is not to depict reality but to invite the viewer into an emotional dialogue, a space where they can see fragments of themselves within the work.

Art is more than an image—it is an experience, a bridge between the artist and the observer, where meaning is constantly reborn.
